Kanakia Kids young learners engage in Children's Council for holistic development and growth
The Children's Council is a subject that has been introduced to expose the little learners to the concept of leadership with knowledge and practical tasks. This initiative is geared towards imbuing competencies such as valuing human dignity, democracy, justice, fairness, equality, the rule of law, human rights, cultural diversity, nurturing openness to other beliefs, and civic-mindedness.
Through the Children's Council, the learners are provided with a platform to explore and develop various skills. These include leadership skills, managerial skills, communication skills, organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, autonomous learning skills, and skills of listening, observing, and cooperation through experiential learning. The learners are given opportunities to exercise and apply these acquired skills.
Seema Kshatriya, Principal, Kanakia Kids of Kanakia International School, said, “Recently, our Children's Council of Kanakia Kids showcased their annual work through presentation. All ten ministers from the council, along with their cabinet members, presented the various activities they had explored throughout the academic year in ministries such as Agriculture, Culture, Education, Energy & Power, Environment, Finance, Human Resource and Development, Information and Broadcasting, Law and Justice, and Science and Technology. The presentation was a resounding success, showcasing how the learners are developing various abilities through the Children's Council program. The learners demonstrated their skills and showcased their achievements, giving a glimpse into their growth and development. We at Kanakia Kids are proud of our learners and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and develop through this program.”
Overall, the Children's Council program is an excellent initiative that fosters the holistic growth and development of the learners. It equips them with the skills, competencies, and confidence they need to thrive in various aspects of their lives.
