Jhand hone wali ha! Yup, you read that right! Iconic youth brand, MTV and Balaji
Motion Pictureshave teamed up to launch a pranktastic show MTV Jhand Hogi Sabki.
Hosted by young actors and co-conspirators to the stars, Siddharth Gupta and
Ashish Juneja, the show will see celebrities pull tummy-hurtingly funny pranks
on each. The show was launched with much fanfare by none other than the film’s
producer Ekta Kapoor along with the
stars of the film Siddharth Gupta and
Simran Kaur Mundi. MTV Jhand Hogi Sabki will be telecast on MTV every
Saturday starting at 7 PM from May 24th 2014.
Filled with moments of extreme mystery and laugh-out-loud
hilarity, the show which is conceptualized in association with Balaji Film’s
upcoming movie Kuku Mathur Ki Toh Jhand
Ho Gayi will see celebs such as Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhota, Anu
Malikand Ekta Kapoor spinning their evil plans to prank friends and colleagues.Viewers are in for a laugh-out-loud
ride as they will see their favourite stars such as Nargis Fakri and Shraddha Kapoor
fret and fume as they fall prey to some heavy duty pranks!
Using hidden cameras, practical jokes will be played on those
in the limelight to capture their reactions. From Varun Dhawan and Siddharth
Malhotra to Shraddha Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, each week’s episode will
celebrities pranking their friends. The show will be hosted by Siddharth Gupta
and Ashish Juneja, the stars of the movie Kuku Mathur Ki Toh Jhand Ho Gayi.
The young and dynamic Programming Head of MTV India, and the
mastermind behind this show, Vikas Gupta,said,“Our aim at MTV has always been to entertain the audience by presenting
new and exciting content. MTV Jhand Hogi Sabki is just another step towards that.
The show will present fun and amusing pranks pulled by Bollywood celebrities on
their friends from the film industry. It is always interesting to know how
celebrities react to certain situations and this show will capture just that! I
am sure the youth will have a fun time watching the show.”
The queen bee of Indian Television who turned out to be a
prankster extraordinaire, Ekta Kapoor,
expressed her delight at being a part of the show. She said, "It's
always fun to pull pranks to see how people will react to them. Being on MTV
JHAND Hogi Sabki was an experience. I did it to promote my film Kuku Mathur Ki
Jhand Ho Gayi. I don't think I ever laughed as much as I did on the show when I
saw my friend falling for my prank. At one point, I was tempted to spill the
beans.
The show will be supported by
360 degree marketing campaign and will be promoted across all social media
platforms of the channel.
