November 2018, Friday: More than 75 % of the Ayurveda business today is with the private sector, and therefore engagement with private sector has become critical – towards this CII organized the “2nd Ayurveda Conclave: Vision 2022: Roadmap to Achieve Three Times Growth in Market Size”, The event saw the presence of representatives from both private and government sectors that. Speaking at the event Dr.Rohit Same, Founder of Madhavbaug contextualized Ayurveda with respect to modern medicine. He emphasized, that demystification of this ancient medicine system will pave the path for it to move ahead.
The government formed the ministry of AYUSH in 2014 which was a big initiative in standardizing and regularizing Ayurveda and other traditional Indian healthcare systems. AYUSH is responsible for policy formation, development and implementation of programs for the growth, development and propagation of Ayurveda. Strategies to globalize and promote Ayurveda are currently being developed under AYUSH initiatives. These strategies focus on safety-efficacy-quality aspects of ayurvedic formulations, along with rational usage of Ayurveda. The safety, efficacy and quality profiles of formulations are globally accepted parameters that help in standardization.

This will help build its foundation in India as well as abroad.
