India, 30 September: Gear up for an exciting adventure across Maharashtra with intrepid traveller and food enthusiast Rocky Singh as he goes on a solo road trip, on a brand-new season of #RoadTrippinWithRocky. Viewers can follow his journey on a discovery of the state’s most popular food joints, its lively culture and historical gems from 29th September to 10th October, across HistoryTV18’s & Rocky and Mayur’s social media accounts.

Kick-starting his journey from the city of dreams Mumbai, Rocky will drive across the scenic state of Maharashtra. It will be an incredible road-trip where the stunning landscapes compete with tantalising food for your attention, while monuments steeped in history dot your way. From gorging on the lavish thali at the legendary Shree Thaker Bhojanalay in Mumbai to getting a taste of Parsi cuisine at The Grapevine Restaurant in Mahabaleshwar, Rocky is, as always, set to tickle his taste buds with mouth-watering delicacies and finger-licking flavours. Food is, however, just one of the items on the menu. Rocky plans to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Elephanta Caves, an island dotted with cave temples dating back to 2nd century BC, take a Shikara ride on the picturesque Venna Lake in Mahabaleshwar and conquer some of the impregnable forts of Maharashtra like the historic Pratapgad Fort in Satara.

Rocky spent two days in the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai.  Sitting atop 7 islands reclaimed from the sea, Mumbai is more than just India’s financial centre and home to Bollywood. From popular beaches to heritage sites and from famous monuments to legendary eateries, Mumbai offers something for everyone, and Rocky truly to put this to the test. First on his list was the majestic Victoria Terminus and from there on Rocky hopped, skipped and jumped across the island city covering its iconic eateries from Pancham Puriwala to Café Mondegar to Café Madras with little-known secrets in-between. He spent some time at the city’s most recognisable landmark, the Gateway of India, on his way to the picturesque ferry ride to the Elephanta caves, but not before doing the quintessential touristy things at the famous Juhu beach.

#RoadTrippinWithRocky Season 2 - Tune into the journey from 29th September onwards on History TV18 and Rocky and Mayur’s YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages.
