STAY FOCUSSED AND DISCIPLINED – DILIP VENGSARKAR

Mumbai, 24th November :  Former India captain, Diip Vengsarkar presided over the function and distributed the prizes along with Dream 11 official, Prashant Tayde at the Dream 11 cup for the under 12s organized by the Dilip Vengsarkar foundation at it’s academy’s ground at the Oval maidan, Churchgate.  Dream 11 Vengsarkar Cricket Academy won the championship in a close game. “Stay focussed ad disciplined in whatever field you choose in future said the legendary batsman in his speech, as he thanked Dream Sports for supporting the great cause that had produced a lot of cricketers for Mumbai and India.

Dream 11 Vengsarkar Cricket Academy while batting first made 105 fo 9 in the allotted 20 overs. At one stage they were 47 for 6 but Kartikeya Sharma (26) and Aradhya Kamble (19) added 44 runs for the seventh wicket to give some respectability to their score.  Ankit Mhatre (2/10) and Vivek Yadav (2/13) took two wickets each.  In reply Kanha Upadhyay (42) and Agastya Kashikar (44) gave their team a solid start as they put toether 81 runs for the first wicket; but Hridan Upadhyay caught Kanha Upadhyay on his own bowling to get a breakthrough. From there onwards Dream 11 DVCA team tighten the screw and restricted them to 95/5 to clinch the title. Ayan Garg who took 2/9 to at the end was declared man of the match.
