This film movement began in 1998 and has today become the most sought after platform of its kind. The festival has long established its global exposure by dedicating itself to the short film genre and witnessing hundreds of entries from across the world every year.
This year Manhattan Short 2014 in India and its chief patron Vivanta by Taj conducted an exciting competition named, ‘Vote for India’. The films were hosted on the India chapter’s website www.manhattanshortindia.com where Indian audiences voted for the films they believed deserved to be in the global finalist list and winners of the India chapter of the festival. Three India winners have been decided post the voting conducted. These three winners each have won a chance to create a short film for Vivanta by Taj.
In the global finalist list, this year’s top ten films have been selected from USA, UK, Germany, France, Mexico, Australia, Netherlands, Norway, and England.
