Arnab expresses his views about the changing face of Indian media

March 2017, Mumbai: Grant Medical College, Mumbai and NGO Humanitarian Welfare & Research Foundation have joined hands for presenting its dynamic and vibrant Youth Cultural Festival – ‘Astitva 2017’. Arnab Goswami, the stalwart from Indian news media attended the fest at a special programme today titled ‘Dauntlessly’ and interacted with the students and the faculty present at the venue. He addressed the youth and spoke passionately about the changing scenario of Indian media and how it is poised to become a superpower in the next 5-10 years while fielding questions from the students as well.

HWARF NGO and the students of Grant Medical College were positively thrilled to welcome Mr. Arnab Goswami who has grabbed eyeballs of the entire nation on his tell-all news shows with personalities ranging from movies to politics to bureaucrats for the past few years. Mr. Goswami spoke passionately about returning to the news space through his new channel – ‘Republic’ in a span of six weeks. He also spoke at length on different topics ranging from role of media, world media, the changing Indian demographic, positive changes needed in the country and others.

The students were captivated by the different experiences shared by Mr. Goswami about the struggles he faced as a journalist. He was accompanied by both his parents who were also felicitated on the dais during the programme. Mr. Arnab Goswami promised all the students that he will be back in the news space in few weeks and expressed his delight of being a part of the event co-organized by Humanitarian Welfare And Research Foundation NGO (HWARF), Mumbai and students of Grant Medical College.


About Astitva 2K17 – Medical students of Grant Medical College are holding a 5 days cultural events fest - "Astitva 2K17" at G.M.C. Gymkhana Ground Marine Drive on 24th March 2017. The 5 days cultural fest is celebrated by medical and engineering students who also participate in the events with different ideas and objectives towards our society. The number of students is expected to be as large as 5000 and more for the event. The students have joined hands with Humanitarian Welfare And Research Foundation NGO (HWARF), Mumbai to support needy patients suffering from dreaded diseases.

About HWARF NGO – Our NGO Humanitarian Welfare and Research Foundation serving the society with Non Profitable Interest. We have been serving medically ill poor people, and have been providing Medication, Education, Counseling, Monetary Support and Immediate Humanitarian Assistance etc. We have been carrying humanitarian services from 2010 till date.
