February 2020 Mumbai: The commercial capital of the country witnessed a unique platform for AYUSH (Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy), Organic and Wellness in The Arogya Fest 2020, which was organized at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Goregaon East by NESCO Exhibitions. The expo was supported by the Ministry of AYUSH and the Association Of Ayurvedic Practitioners (AAP). Brands such as Amazon, Jagat Pharma, Sandu pharma, VICCO, The Yoga Institute, Gujarat Tourism, etc participated in the show.

The concept of AYUSH is now being integrated with traditional medical sciences for better rehabilitation, therapeutic development and post-trauma care. There has been a rapid expansion in the consumption and practice of AYUSH across the globe in the last few decades with India the second-largest exporter for AYUSH products in the world. Major export destinations include the US and European countries like Germany and France.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Dhananjay Makharia, Project Head, NESCO Exhibitions said, "The objective of the AROGYA FEST 2020 was to provide a platform of learning, sourcing and interaction leading a path towards a healthy tomorrow. The event was successful *to* present the latest trends, research and techniques which have evolved in this for the benefit of the business sourcing, retail trade and most importantly for the end-users."

AYUSH is a 10 billion USD market and is supported mainly by growing exports and domestic consumption. It is expected to grow to 15 billion USD market by 2021. Currently, there are around 8 lakh AYUSH practitioners in India. The AYUSH industry is expected to grow in double digits and provide direct employment to 1 million people and indirect jobs to 25 million persons by 2021. Government has allowed 100% FDI in AYUSH. The industry has the potential to boost tourism in India as many foreign tourists visit India for the purpose of wellness.

"The fest provided a platform which helped showcase the latest developments, provide clinics, free check-ups, workshops, wellness therapies to the practitioners, enthusiasts and end-users. We aim to grow this to a much more bigger platform next year and are motivated by the results of this year. We aim to expand our reach to bring practitioners from various parts of the country and even International" said a happy Dhananjay as he signed off. *Thousands of* visitors attended the Arogya Fest this year.
