KAMANI OIL INDUSTRIES LAUNCHES RISO, a 100% PURE RICE BRAN OIL
Mumbai; 12th Sept 2012: Kamani Oil Industries Pvt Ltd launched the brand Riso Rice Bran Oil in Mumbai today. Rice Bran Oil also known as the "The World's Healthiest" edible oil or the ㈥althy Heart Oil s a unique cooking oil which is a value added product produced from Rice Bran, a by-product of the Rice milling industry. Riso Rice Bran Oil which is 100% pure Rice Bran Oil will cater to the western market of India and will spread its wings to the other states over a period of time.
Rice Bran Oil is rich in oryzanol, a natural anti-oxidant which helps to reduce cholesterol and tryglicerides. This is based on numerous studies conducted internationally and in India. Mr. Rajiv Behere, DGM of Kamani Oils says,  are proud to present Riso, our new Rice Bran Oil with benefits that do wonders for your family health while they enjoy home cooked food. Riso is produced by the latest process of physical refining and is completely bland and odorless, bringing out the natural taste and flavor of the food
There are 3 different fatty acids found in oils that we consume. Saturated Fatty Acids (SAFA), Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA) and Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA) which are required by our body in the right proportion. Any imbalance of these proportions in the cooking oil can lead to a rise in unsuitable cholesterol levels. The AHA (American Heart Association) and WHO (World Health Organisation) recommend an oil which is rich in SAFA: MUFA: PUFA in proportion of 1:1.5:1 and the nearest naturally occurring oil is Rice Bran Oil, therefore making it the preferred oil for achieving desired cholesterol levels and preventing heart and other related ailments.
Rice Bran Oil is the most balanced and versatile oil in the market and closest to the AHA (American Heart Association) recommendations. Rice bran oil is a superior salad, cooking, and frying oil which leaves no lingering after taste. The high smoke point prevents fatty acid breakdown at high temperatures. Its light viscosity allows 15%-20% less oil to be absorbed in cooking, reducing overall calories. It mixes better in salad dressings and improves the taste of baked goods, providing cholesterol reduction, nutritional and anti-oxidant value. A number of scientific studies have confirmed that using Rice Bran Oil as a  cooking medium could significantly  reduce the bad cholesterol without adversely affecting the good cholesterol due to the presence of a unique component.
Dr. Meena Mehta, Department of Food Science and Nutrition, SNDT University who has done extensive research on edible oils and Rice Bran Oil in particular said, 㼯font>Rice Bran Oil is rich in Vaitanin E complex, Tocopherols and Tocotrienols, a unique antioxidant known as gamma Oryzanol, high quantities of phytosterols, polyphenols and squalene. Compared to other cooking oils, rice bran oil has a longer shelf life because of these antioxidants. These compounds are nutritionally very valuable and it appears to be the richest source of tocopherols and tocotrienols. Hence Rice Bran Oil not only has a good fatty acid profile, but also is a rich source of antioxidants and micronutrients.
