Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana at Shushrusha Hospital

Navi Mumbai, 14 September 2012: Shushrusha Hospital, Heart care centre and multi specialty hospital has been allotted with the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana.  Patients from all around Raigad, Navi Mumbai and Thane can be benefitted from this scheme especially for cardiac care at Shushrusha Hospital.

This yojana was launched by the Government of Maharashtra in order to improve medical access and enhance medical care facility for people. Under this scheme, people now can get facilities like hospitalization for surgeries and therapies or consultations at the hospitals which have been allotted under this scheme. People who are below poverty line (BPL) and above poverty line (ABL) will be covered under this scheme except the ones with white ration card holdings.

All the Navi Mumbai and Raigad residents can now can visit Shushrusha Hospital and get their Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana Health Cards. This would help the people to meet all expenses relating to hospitalization of beneficiary up to Rs. 1, 50,000/- per family per year.  Dr. S. R Tarlekar said, “It is our pleasure to get empanelled for the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana.  Now under this scheme people can get the maximum healthcare benefits and also immediate treatment in case of emergency. We would be happy to provide medical treatment to people with any heart problems. This initiative by the government is an effective step towards saving the lives of the people and providing them with the efficient and quality health services. I hope that maximum people from Navi Mumbai, Raigad and adjoining districts get their health cards for this yojana so that they do not face any trouble in getting their treatment done in future either due to financial problems or others. We will be proud to provide as many health cards to people as possible”
