STAY LOYAL TO YOUR ACADEMY AND CLUB – DILIP VENGSARKAR

Mumbai, Dec. 14 : Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar advised the young cricketers and their parents to stay loyal to the academy and club they represent at a tender age, as they are the ones who give you the platform to blossom. There will be academies and clubs who would invite you to play for them in future, don’t fall for such invites, said the legend.
MIG Cricket club won the Dream 11 under 13 cricket tournament by beating Dream 11 Vengsarkar Cricket Academy by 5 wickets in the final. The tournament was organised by Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation at their academies ground in Oval maidan, Churchgate.
Dream 11 Vengsarkar Cricket Academy while batting first made 150 for 8 in the allotted 35 overs. After losing 2 wickets for 20 runs Vansh Dhawangale (27) and Aarush Kolhe (36) added 51 runs for the third wicket and thereafter Varad Raj scored unbeaten 44 runs to see his team score 150 runs. Aryan Desai of MIG was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets for 25 runs and was well supported by Ayan Rodrigues by 2 for 12.
While chasing this total Aryan Khot (43) and Agastya Kashikar (35) gave MIG a solid start of 87 runs and thereafter Vedang Mishra (39) in the company of Manan Singhvi (14) added another 52 runs for the third wicket to take his team to the victory target. Ansh Sonwane took 2/22 for Dream 11 Vengsarkar Academy. Aryan Desai was declared as man of the match n the finals. Former India captain gave away the prizes to the winners.
