Tanishaa Mukerji packs a punch with her Jive performance, gets nostalgic talking about her memories with her father & sister during childhood
by Priya Jadhav
They say that nothing is really unthinkable or unimaginable if one makes it a point to do it. Well, Tanishaa Mukerji has to be the hottest example of that right now. As a Hindi film industry actress, there's no doubt about the fact that fans and admirers did have high expectations from her in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. However, what's staggering is how right from day 1 of the show, she's actually exceeded everyone's expectations by surprising them the right way. For all those who thought that she will be just about good, she's actually proven by now that good is just an understatement and she's actually the best. So far, all her acts have received tremendous appreciation and now, it was time for the actress to win hearts with her Jive performance. Jive being an energetic and upbeat dance form where coordination with your partner is immensely important, there's no doubt that the difficulty level this time was at its peak. However, rising like a phoenix from the ashes, Tanishaa did manage to make it count and have a blast. While she did slay her professional Jive act on the show this time, does she have any memories of the same from her childhood? Regarding the same, the actress shares and we quote,
"I remember that during my childhood, I used to absolutely love jive. I used to do that with my father and sister during my childhood days and it used to be so much fun. Since the dance form involves a lot of kicking and spinning, it used to be all the way more fun and it would instantly bring a smile on my face. Both my father as well as my sister were quite good at it and it was a fun thing to do back then. However, to do Jive for fun and to actually learn the art professionally and perform on-stage is a totally different ball game. During the workshops and rehearsals, I quickly realized that it was a lot tougher than what I thought it was during childhood. While it might seem a lot of fun and engaging from the outset, it demands tremendous fitness and eye-leg coordination for which you need to have a healthy brain. It's a lot about the mind. I loved learning whatever I could and I would love to explore more of this dance form in the future as well."
Well, just like we said in the beginning, Tanishaa has had the knack of surprising her fans and audience with her incredible acts and this time too, it wasn't any different when we learnt that she chose Jive for a performance. Here's hoping that she continues to slay and win hearts and eventually emerge as the undisputed winner of the show.
