The actor and musician has picked out closet favourites to raise funds for children living with HIV/AIDS
Shruti Haasan's traditional Closet Sale is back, with a huge collection of clothes and accessories from her personal collection that fans across the world can purchase. Each item sold contributes to the welfare of children living with HIV/AIDS.
Shruti Haasan explains, "This tradition has grown very close to my heart. For me, it's a reminder that we can keep finding many ways to give back, and share our celebrations with those in need. It's also a special way for me to connect with my fans, so we can come together to support something important, all while sharing a bit of each other's lives."
Proceeds from the sale support Desire Society, whose Founder, Ravi Babu G, said "We're grateful to Shruti for supporting our beneficiaries - over 200 very special orphan children living with HIV; and for raising awareness about this cause. Thank you, Shruti, for setting this example for how to embody the festive spirit!"
The pieces will be on sale online through the social enterprise Dolce Vee, whose Founder Komal Hiranandani added "Fans have been eagerly awaiting this year's drop by Shruti, and it's been wonderful to see shoppers genuinely connecting with the cause while they shop."
Though Shruti is busy with her promotions for Salaar and prepping for her upcoming Pan India release, the actress is making sure to speak and promote this heartfelt initiative.
