Arjun Maini books spot in Macau with Motopark The 18-year-old Indian will replace Red Bull Junior Niko Kari in Motopark's line-up.

Friday, October 28, 2016, India: JK Tyre and TVS supported Indian racing driver, 18-Year-Old Arjun Maini, today confirmed his association with Team Motopark to race at the Macau Grandprix on the weekend of November 17th. Joining the line-up for Motopark, Maini who commenced his 2016 season in the Formula 3 European Championships with T-Sport, will return to the Formula 3 European Championship at Macau after a brief stint in the GP3 with Jenzer Motorsport where he currently stands amongst the top 10 drivers. 
 
It will be Maini's second attempt in Macau, post contesting the 2015 European F3 season with T Sport where he finished in the top 10 at Macau.  Commenting on his association with the historically reputed Motopark, the 18-Year-Old Maini shared, "Racing in Macau has always been amongst my more favourite experiences, the long straights and the narrow passages allow me to reach high speeds with the tact of keeping utmost control of the car. Macau also has the reputation of attracting the best drivers from the World, as a strong performance here really puts your on the radar of the team Principals - making this weekend challenging yet extremely satisfying, post a strong performance." Maini concluded that the switch between Formula 3 and GP 3 or any Car will not affect a strong and mature driver as himself, and is confident of his ability to quickly adapt to the car and the circumstances. 
 

Team Motopark is long regarded as one of the most successful teams and best breeding ground for young talents on their way into professional motorsports. The German equipe has won more than 200 races and collected 23 international championship titles. Many of today's international Formula One, World Sportscar Endurance and DTM stars have played their part and learnt their trades in Team Motopark's unique success story. Welcoming Arjun to the team, Team Principal, Timo Rumpfkeil shared, "We are very happy to welcome Arjun to our team. We have followed his career closely and have experienced some good tests with him end of 2015, where he showed very good speed and a very mature approach. It is of course valuable to have a driver with experience in Macau such as Arjun. Arjun had a clear run there last year and we are keen that he will be in a strong position to have a good result in Macau this year with us.
