Parisar Asha observed World Mental Health Day on 10th Oct’16 at Nityanand Marg MPS where Parisar Asha’s internationally acclaimed Eco-Tech World School Programme is being rolled out since 2015. Parisar Asha is a 34 year non-profit registered public trust committed to serve children through a unique learning approach ‘ESAL’- The Environmental Studies Approach to Learning. Parisar Asha has been instrumental in bringing about phenomenal changes in the teaching-learning methods in more than 1000 schools reaching to 45,000 students and more than 20,000 teachers since 1982.   On this special day, a unique workshop was conducted for the students of Std VI to Std X on the importance of ‘managing and expressing emotions’ in appropriate ways and owning responsibility for one’s emotions. Parisar Asha understands that students of this age group are vulnerable to academics, peer pressures and family members. It continuously works towards providing a balanced environment for the proper growth of the individuals.  This workshop served as an educational platform where the children were taught to explore their various emotional facets and the significance of one’s emotions and how self – attribution results in proper reactions in different situations.

This was first of a kind initiative which was conducted in a BMC school for underpriviledged children.
