Greenwood High students wins at National Level Karate Championship

Bangalore, January 31, 2019: Once again Greenwood High School students outperformed their peers at national level competition. While six-year-old, Atharv Balaji of Greenwood High Varthur campus outperformed all the other boys with higher belts to secure the first place in Karate at the Kindergarten level, Shreya Talwar, a 10-yr-old Grade 4 student of Greenwood High Bannerghatta campus secured the second position in the category of 10-12 yrs girls at the National Level Karate Championship held recently by the OSKFI federation in Bangalore.
Over 1200 participants spread across 120 different categories of kids and adults from across the country joined in the Republic Day exclusive Kumite Championship. Kids from Bengaluru, Kerala, Kolkata and Chennai were amongst the leads. They also competed against the national team from Srilanka.
Okinawa Shorin Ryu Shorinkan Karate-Do Federations of India, popularly known as OSK Federation of India was established in the year 1992 by Shihan Suresh Kenichira. Today the federation trains over 35000 students annually.
