Gopal Snacks Operationalizes New Manufacturing Facility in Modasa (Gujarat)
Gopal Snacks Limited (BSE: 544140; NSE: GOPAL) a leading FMCG company in India renowned for its high-quality snack products, has announced the successful establishment and operationalization of a new Gathiya & Namkeen manufacturing facility at Modasa, Gujarat. This cutting-edge manufacturing facility features higher Capacity Fryers & Ultra-modern dispatch facility.
Trail Production has been started as on this date, further progress on rump up of Production will be communicated in due course of time. This new facility partially restores the production capacity of the Rajkot plant, which was affected by a Fire. Post this fire incident, major hurdle was Supply Chain since different products were manufactured at different locations, resulting in higher order service time and inconvenience to dealers.
With commissioning Modasa facility, company is confident that Supply Chain Issues will be addressed, since Dealer requirement will be meet from single location and company is also expecting increase in Dealer order value and frequency.
The Modasa Plant has an Installed Capacity (Restore of Rajkot Facility): 63,085 MT, with plans to gradual scale up over the time, and the Product Portfolio includes Gathiya and Namkeen. This plant will target to service Part of Gujarat (other than Saurashtra and Kutch), Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and part of Maharashtra.
