The 5th edition of UBM India’s Concrete Show India will facilitate the bullish Construction & Infrastructure market

Mumbai, April 2017: UBM India announced the 5th edition of the Concrete Show India (CSI), the only expo in the country exclusively dedicated to the Construction and Infrastructure sector. Covering key areas including roads and highways, housing, airports, ports, power, rail, dams & bridges, Concrete Show India2017 will be held at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre ( BCEC), Goregaon, Mumbai from May 4 – 6, 2017.
Concrete Show India will showcase latest offerings in core categories encompassing Concrete & Construction, Construction equipments, Construction Chemical, and Commercial & Industrial flooring. The show has added a brand new category called Smart BuildTech that will feature innovations in Automations, Software & IT systems and Construction tools & Instruments. The three-day show will provide an excellent opportunities to industry professionals such as Architects, Civil Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, Developers, Procurement Managers and Consultants from major Construction and Infrastructure companies to interact, network and exchange insights with exhibitors from across the industry.

The expo coincides with a high point in the infrastructure sector where it is being granted unprecedented prominence by the Government of India, as a key driver of the Indian economy. A number of policies have been initiated by the Central Government that will ensure time-bound creation of world class infrastructure in the country and propel its overall development.
Concrete Show India 2017 has been well-received by the industry with support from key associations such as its sector partner this year, the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA), which has been on-boarded for the first time; its conference partner, the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI); Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA); Cement Manufacturers Association (CMA); Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI); Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC); Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers' Association (RMCMA); Indian Institution of Bridge Engineers (IIBE) and Infrastructure Industry and Logistics Federation of India (ILFI), Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IAStructE), Indian Society of Structural Engineers (ISSE), Ontario Building Envelope Council (OBEC), Pre Engineered structures Society of India (PSI) among others.
Speaking on the announcement of the 5th edition of Concrete Show India, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India said, “The government’s mega push for infrastructure, as seen from the Union Budget FY17-18, is set to provide a huge potential for stakeholders in the sector. Pro-active policies and investments made in roadways, railways, airports and several other smart-city initiatives, have also truly borne fruit, so much so that in 2016, India jumped 19 places in World Bank's Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2016, to rank 35th amongst 160 countries. The Indian construction equipment industry, which was also stuck in a rut for a few years in the interim, has revived and is expected to grow to a huge US$ 5 billion by FY2019-20.
“The Concrete Show is positioned to provide industry professionals insights into how to leverage this golden opportunity and also to ensure that the momentum for progress continues at the same speed. With the plethora of exciting products on display, the best of exhibitors, support from key associations and relevant intelligence-sharing, this should be easily achieved,” he added.
Along with the main exhibition, Concrete Show India 2017 scores high on knowledge-sharing among its industry peers. The show will hold a two-day technical seminar that will focus on ‘Practices for Sustainable Smart Cities: 2017 and Beyond Methods, Materials, Machinery and Manpower’. Helmed by industry thought leaders, the topics of discussion will pertain to ‘Planning Smart Cities: CIDCO / GIFT’; ‘Constructing Smartly and Sustainably’; ‘Repair and Rehab for Concrete Infrastructure’; ‘Skill Development for Smart Construction’; ‘Roads, Infrastructure and Connectivity’; and ‘Smart Sustainable Construction Machinery’.
