HOSTS CCI REGISTERED THRILLING WIN OVER ACHIVERS

Mumbai, 15th May : Hosts CCI Kids Academy registered a thrilling win over Achivers Cricket Academy in the inaugural league match of the 1st Madhav Apte Cup under 15 Girls Cricket Tournament organized by CCI at Breborne Stadium. In another match of the morning session Home Ground Academy also defeated Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation team by 12 runs.

While batting first hosts CCI Kids Academy were restricted to 75/9 in the allotted 20 overs by Achivers Cricket Academy. Vidisha Naik (2/7) and Priyadarshini Singh (3/11) has done this trick. While chasing this small total Achivers lost their wickets at regular interval but Gauri Dharmetar fought the lone battle. She made 26 runs and was run out in the 18th over when they were needing three more runs for a win. But Dhruvi Trivedi took those two wickets in the same over to give her team a thrilling win by two runs. As expected Dhruvi was given the man of the match award.

In another match of the morning session Home Ground Academy scored 101/9 in 20 overs against Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation. Akshara Singh scored 24 for her team. Madhura Dadke (3/18) was the pick of the bowlers. In reply opener Mugdha Patil of Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation scored unbeaten 48 runs and Aashi Rane scored 17. But apart from these two none other batsman could get double figure mark and were restricted to 89/6 in 20 overs. Krittika Yadav (2/22) aand Shanaya Jhaveri (3/10) bowled superbly to give their team a win. Shanaya Jhaveri was man of the match.

In the third match in afternoon session Madhav Apte XI beat Salgaonkar Sports Club by 81 runs. They made 141/4 in 20 overs as Shreeni Soni 39, Shravani Patil 45 not out played well. Then Shreeni Soni (4/10) and Ritika Yadav (2/16) bundled out their opponent Salgaonkar Sports Club for
