YUG ASOPA’S TON HELP TENDULKAR XI TO SCORE 360/7

Mumbai, 22nd May : Yug Asopa’s ton (137) helped Sachin Tendulkar XI to pile up 360/7 in the second league match of the Dream 11 Cup under 14 selection cricket tournament against Sunil Gavaskar XI. He score 137 runs in 160 balls with the help of 19 hits to the fence. While batting first Yuvraj Bhingarde (92) and Aakash Mangde (78) gave them a good start as they had century partnership of 107 runs. After Mangde departed Yuvraj in the company of Yug Asopa (137) put together 160 runs for the second wicket. Yuvaraj was unlucky to miss his century as he was out on 92 runs. He faced 164 balls and hit 12 fours. Yug Asopa in his innings of 160 balls hit 19 fours for his 137 runs. He was done in by Veer Shinde. Harsh Nadkar also contributed with 34 runs. Veer Shinde was the most successful bowler for Gavaskar XI, as he claimed 3 wickets for 54 runs.

In another match at Oval maidan Ravi Shastri XI who were sent in by Vengsarkar XI scored 265/6 in 87 overs. Samridh Bhat (30), Vidhiraj Shukla (61), Nirbhay Keni (31) added some useful runs. At 190/6 Neeraj Dhumal (batting 65) and Shon Korgaonkar (batting 25) batted brilliantly to add another 75 runs for seventh wicket. For Vengsarkar XI Abhishek Pandey (2/55) and Yuvaan Sharma (2/50) took two wickets a piece.
