by Priya Jadhav

Like all entrepreneurs with tenacity, Photographer & LGBTQ Activist Monisha Ajgaonkar’s efforts have borne success. She recently had the distinct honour of receiving two very coveted awards in the country, this December and we feel immensely proud to share her milestones with you.

On December 19, she was bestowed with the National Achiever Award as the Best Artist & LGBTQ Artist by Kriti Sanon in Delhi. They recognize and applaud Iconic Achievers and brands from all across the nation. She was also recognized as the International Young Icon of the year for Candid Photography and received the award from Malaika Arora in Delhi on December 22.
Monisha has never been afraid to fight for what she believed in, regardless of consequences. The Photo Diary by Monisha has carved a niche for itself in the photography industry. It was at the age of 20, when Monisha turned her passion into a profession and dived into the exciting world of photography. She’s known for her unconventional outlook, unwavering resolve and enthusiasm. With an edgy and offbeat approach she blurs the difference between reality and fiction with her photographs. For her impressive journey and extraordinary artistic capabilities, she was revered with India’s Most Prominent Women Empowerment Award in the past. For her much applaudable work, she was also recognized by the IFA and was presented with an award for the Best Candid Photographer in Mumbai.
More power to Monisha for fighting all odds and emerging victorious!
