Poonam Thaval winner of ‘Award of Merit’ at the 2nd International Grooming Competition held in Malaysia

Mumbai: December 2019: Poonam Thaval makes India proud as she claimed her position at the 2nd International Grooming Competition held in Malaysia. Representing India on an international platform, she bagged the Award of Merit for ‘Level B’ Creative Grooming. Poonam has received two prestigious International Certifications from NGKC (China Grooming Association) and Barkleigh (USA) at the event.
It is one of the most prestigious awards in the industry where certified and trained groomers get the opportunity to showcase their talent.
In a survey conducted by wiseguyreport.com, the global Pet Grooming market is valued at 2130 million US$ in 2018 and is expected to reach 3580 million US$ by the end of 2025, growing at a CAGR of 6.7% during 2019-2025. India is not far behind opening up itself as the fastest growing pet care market in the world. India is home to 2 crore pet dogs. The key drivers to this growth can be attributed to urbanization, nuclear family, changing the perception towards pets and pet owners.
The hectic and tiresome lifestyles due to modernization have made most urban pet lovers time-handicapped and prefer to get pet grooming services from professionals. It has created a plethora of opportunities for groomers to showcase their talents and the salons and spa industry. It is proving to a specific career option for many with the receptiveness in the society.
