Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has launched a “Program in Strategic Media & Entertainment Management” (PSMEM). The program will be delivered via Times Centre for Learning Ltd. (TCLL) in a blended mode in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore cities. One of the major highlights of the program is its carefully curated curriculum that balances traditional media with the new age digital media. The program has invited many torch-bearers and leaders from the media and entertainment industry to provide their expert guidance. Eminent personalities who have joined the advisory council are: -

Dr Ranjan Banerjee Dean, SPJIMR
Raj Nayak Chief Executive Officer at Colors - Viacom 18
Karan Johar Prominent Film producer and Director
CVL Srinivas CEO, South Asia, Group M
Prashant Panday MD & CEO, Radio Mirchi
Ambi M G Parameswaran Former CEO & ED, FCB Ulka Advertising
Deepak Lamba CEO, Worldwide Media (WWM)
M K Anand MD & CEO, Times Television Network

Speaking about the association, Raj Nayak, Chief Executive Officer at Colors- Viacom 18, says, “When reputed industry names such as SP Jain institute and India’s leading publication group – Times of India Group come together to launch an initiative such as PSMEM educational course, it adds a lot of value to the table. One of the things I liked about the association is that its expert team has the strength of disseminating knowledge and information. When two such giants join hands, then the student becomes the ultimate beneficiary. I wish this collaboration and venture all the very best. And in my small way, I am happy to be able to contribute.”
He further adds, “I am a part of media and entertainment industry over 25 years. In my long tenure, I have noticed that this industry is ever-evolving by bringing in new trends and developments. In the traditional world, newspapers are the main source to be updated with latest happenings around the world. But, in today’s modern time, technology plays a vital role to virtually deliver the news through ‘Twitter’. With such trends, in the last two decades, media and entertainment industry has become the fastest growing industry in India.”

C.V.L. Srinivas, CEO, South Asia at Group M says, “The media and entertainment industry has been constantly thriving over the last few years, attaining a current market size of 1.2 lakh crore in India. With digitalisation of the industry, the sector is reinventing and transforming its functioning to match the digital wave, thereby creating immense career opportunities for aspiring professionals. The PSMEM program launched by SPJIMR and Times of India Group is an efficient program in this direction and I am glad to be associated with them as an advisor to contribute towards nurturing the young talent.”

The overarching objective of this Council is to guide the Program to be India’s destination program for Media and Entertainment industry for executives.
